As a teenager living down the street from the Strassers in the 1970s, I recall how Mickey's zest for life set him apart from most of the other members of the "older" generation. One memorable experience was when he took me for a ride in his new car (a Cadillac, I believe), which had the earliest version of cruise control. He was delighted to show me that the car would keep going at a constant speed while he relaxed with his feet tucked up next to his seat, crossed at the ankles. Proud, almost childlike, his exuberance was something I could relate to, and the slight danger of riding with feet nowhere near the brake appealed to my teen spirit of adventure. I trust that the rest of his time among us was equally spirited, and I am sure he will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to the family.

Hello Marion. I am so sorry to hear about Mickey. We so enjoyed him during our ski club days. He was always so interesting and affable. We were all happy for him when he married you and you seemed to be great together. I know you will miss him. We all will. Sincerely, Evelyn

Mickey was my boss ( along with Sam ) at Pak-Wik Corp.on Tivoli St. in Albany, N.Y. It was back in the good old mid sixties. Mickey used to come to the shop on Saturdays to sharpen his lawn mower blade and of course to see how things were going. I remember when I was washing up the press to clean off the ink to prepare for another job to run. All of a sudden my right hand fingers got pulled into the osillating rollers. I yelled for help and Al Dietz shut off the press as Mickey ran out of the office and backed up the press manually to free my fingers. He rushed me up the hill to Albaby Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Boy what a fast ride that was. I always felt that if not for Mickeys quick thinking that I may have lost my hand. Mickey will always be remembered in my heart. Gary & Carol Ryan

Mickey was a long time customer of mine at Goldstein Chrysler Jeep. My prayers and thoughts will be with you in this tough time. I will never forget Mickey and I will always remember him smiling. Please take a moment when you can to realize how much Mickey meant to all of us.

MIckey was one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever known, and I was always proud to call him "Dad." I will miss him tremendously. He will live on in his grandson.
